 London, August 9 : Shakira has revealed that she cross-dressed as a boy to attend lectures at an American university two summers ago.
She reportedly took History of Western Civilisation course at the University of California, Los Angeles.
"I used to wear a cap, tennis shoes, big backpack, baggy pants - I looked like a boy. I tried to hide and concentrate on my classes,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
The singer said that she lived as a student for a while and apparently nobody recognized her.
She said: "I went to university after my last tour and studied history. I lived the regular student life for a bit.
"It was one of those things that had passed me by.”
The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker added that she often wished for normal life.
She said: "I would have liked a normal career and to have experienced normal student life - but I''m not complaining." (ANI) |

 London, Aug 9 : Cheryl Cole has coloured her hair red.
The X Factor judge made an appearance with her new red locks at Guy Ritchie''s pub, The Punchbowl in Mayfair, London, this weekend.
"She knew it would cause a stir but Cheryl wanted to dramatically change her hair to define herself as a solo artist," The News of The World quoted a source as saying.
It has been that reported that the Girls Aloud star, who will soon set foot as a solo artist as well as take up a new series of reality shows, shells out more than 100,000-pound a year on grooming.
Fabulous fashion editor Lynne McKenna says that the hot new hair-colour has given Cheryl a lead again.
According to McKenna, Cheryl’s new shade will soon be copied by girls everywhere. (ANI) |

 Directed and produced by Jayant C Paranji, ‘Love4Ever’, which is coming up as a love subject has a special song where Bollywood heroine Deepika Padukune shook a leg. The song which goes like ‘Chak De Mahia… Needey Dunia…’ was choreographed under the direction of Ahmed Khan and was shot very recently. The speciality of the song is that it was shot with four cameras and one among them was used for close ups.
Speaking on the occasion, director cum producer Jayant says, ‘When we had thought of this song, Deepika struck in my mind. I immediately went to her and narrated the story. In fact, she is a busy heroine in Bollywood. However, as the story is quite interesting, she accepted my request and participated in the shooting. The song came out very well due to Deepika’s cooperation. We are expecting repeat audiences for the film due to this song exclusively. We made the film with a delicate point– When you want to do something do it immediately. This love story came out very interestingly. Music would remain a major asset for the flick. We will complete the shooting by August and are making efforts to release the film in September.’
Ranadeep, Mridula are playing the lead.  Over these years, yesteryear actress Radha proved her excellence in various roles. Now, her daughter Karthika follows her mother’s footsteps, as she makes debut in Telugu film ‘Josh’. The film has Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya in lead role and Vasu Varma has directed the film. With audio recently launched in Hyderabad, the film is slated to hit the screens shortly in August.
Radha and her sister Ambika were the reigning actresses of South Indian Film Industry during 80s. They had acted with almost all the leading actors including Superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Prabhu, Karthik, Mohan and Sivakumar. Specifically Radha had acted in more than 200 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Later, she got married to a restaurant entrepreneur Rajashekaran and settled in Mumbai.

 Once-upon-a-time Soap queen Ekta Kapoor is leaving no stones unturned to resume the status of her ‘Kyunki…’ days.
From making a serial version of super hit films or tying up with the leading channel, Ekta is attempting every tried and tested formula for the success of her shows. According to our sources, “Balaji is soon to come up with a show for MTV”. She has earlier done a show ‘Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi’ with the channel in her heyday.
All her prominent shows went off-air back to back with their dropping TRPs. Her recent attempt of making a horror serial based on real life experiences also failed miserably though it was aired on the leading channel.
